Well, I suppose if Sarah Palin can have a blog so can't I... Now, what the hell am I gonna talk about? Hmmmmm... how about the lack of internets at my house... seriously, in 2010, I still don't have access at my home unless I want to pay out the ass for a dish... well F that.
Other musings - I need to find some cheap web storage as well.. I'll let you know what I find on that note...

Holiday Traditions...
Thinking about holiday traditions gets me to think about when I was a kid and the things that made the Holidays so special...
- Christmas Trees & Lights
- The Ham Dinner
- Christmas Eve - waiting for Santa
- Having to be good or Santa wouldn't come to our house
- Shopping!
- Wrapping presents
- Being with the family
What are your traditions? I have some new ones with our kids:
- Only watching Christmas movies for the month of December
- Christmas Music from Thanksgiving on
- The Elf on the Shelf
- Weeding out the old toys to make room for the new ones
- Giving canned goods to the shelters
- Doing some sort of "giving" to others who are in need

Yet another test...
Ok, here goes... A reprint of something that I think is wonderful...
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate -- we can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
Well, today it happened. Someone asked me my professional opinion about creating a blog. Blog, I said? He-Hem. Oh yea, I have one of those... kind of. My bad... it appears that it was last June when I actually wrote on my blog... EEK!
Anywhoo, now I must learn to embed this baby into a webpage... or perhaps create an RSS feed? Who knows...

Well... so it begins...
A blog...really? me? WTF, why not. I am a woman on a mission. I work as an IT professional and although I really enjoy the routing and switching geekiness... I have a dark secret... I'm really just a girl who's all about things that are pretty. Sparkly and shiny are also my favs... Lately I've taken to design work as an outlet for my creative side - which, to be honest, has been malnourished for years... so I'm starting out trying to figure out how to go from IT Chick to Design Diva...
